Wellbear Cold-pressed Evening Primrose Oil is 100% oil from the seeds of the biennial evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) – unrefined, unfiltered, cold-pressed in a Polish oil mill. Packaged in a darkened thick-glass bottle (a characteristic of unrefined oils).
Evening primrose oil naturally contains gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) – a biochemical characteristic of the plant. The very high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids (see nutritional values table) makes the oil sensitive to oxidation – keep it in the fridge after opening and use within a month.

Intended use
Oil for cold dishes: an addition to chilled dishes and snacks – yoghurts, salads, a topping for wholemeal bread. Consumed in small, regular portions. The very high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids requires careful storage – not for frying, as it oxidises easily. Vegan.
Directions for use
Directly: 1–2 teaspoons (4–8 g) per day – straight from a teaspoon or as an addition to yoghurt, salads or raw vegetable salads. Consume only cold. Evening primrose oil is recommended to be taken in small portions. Drizzled over wholemeal bread: a few drops with a pinch of sea salt – a classic Old Polish use.
Storage
Once opened, store in the fridge and use within a month – 250 ml of evening primrose oil oxidises quickly after opening when exposed to light, heat and air (very high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids – high susceptibility to oxidation). Keep the bottle tightly closed.
