About the product

Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA support heart function, brain health, and normal vision in pets, and salmon oil is the simplest way to add them to your pet's everyday bowl. Olini oil is refined - the purification process removes contaminants naturally present in the marine environment, giving it a light straw color, almost colorless, with no strong fishy smell. The product is regularly tested for contaminants, and a TOTOX value of 5 confirms its freshness.

Suitable for

The oil is intended for dogs and cats, including growing puppies and kittens as well as senior dogs and cats. There are no contraindications for use in any breed.

Composition

Salmon oil (fish), mixed tocopherols as an antioxidant. Per 100 g of product: energy value 3700 kJ / 900 kcal, fat 100 g, of which saturated fatty acids 14 g, monounsaturated 53 g and polyunsaturated 32 g; carbohydrates, sugars, protein and salt - 0 g each.

Purpose

Salmon oil is a complementary feed material that adds omega-3 fatty acids to a dog's or cat's diet. Its oily texture makes it easy to mix into wet or dry food, and the formula also suits a BARF diet and its cooked equivalent.

Directions and dosage

Mix the appropriate amount of oil into your pet's food. Suggested daily portion for dogs: very small, under 5 kg - 1 ml (0.92 g); small, 5-10 kg - 2 ml (1.84 g); medium, 10-20 kg - 4 ml (3.68 g); large, over 20 kg - 6 ml (5.52 g). For cats: 1-2 ml (0.92-1.84 g) daily. The 100 ml bottle has a dosing pipette delivering 0.5 ml (0.46 g) per press, plus an included measuring spoon for accurate dosing. The oil can be given year-round, on an ongoing basis.

Precautions

Before first use, make sure your pet is not allergic to fish - some dogs and cats can react to salmon oil, so it is worth consulting a veterinarian before use. The oil can be combined with plant oils, such as flaxseed, hemp or coconut oil, which provide other fatty acids, but keep an eye on the total fat content of the diet - too much can lead to weight gain, and an overly large single portion can cause diarrhea or other digestive upset, and in dogs even acute pancreatitis. Excess EPA and DHA can reduce blood clotting, so supplementation is best avoided after surgery and after a cesarean section. Pets on a veterinary diet or with chronic conditions need a veterinarian's advice before using the oil. If your pet reacts unfavorably, stop giving the product.

Storage

Store at room temperature, away from light. Refrigerate after opening. Best-before period is 12 months.
